Cornell Grade School New Principal & Family

Please Welcome Andrew Johnson as the New Cornell Grade School Principal!

Hello Cornell Cougars!

My name is Andrew Johnson, and I am beyond excited to be a part of the
Cornell Grade School family and serve as your new principal starting July 1st. It is plain to see
that this school community has dedicated, talented members, committed to doing what is in the
best interest of students. It is my hope to work diligently with everyone to continue to put students first at CGS and to ensure their success.

My professional and personal background is deeply rooted in education, leadership and coaching. Both of my parents are lifelong educators and still active today in schools. For the past seventeen years, I have worked in public education as leader, teacher, mentor, and coach. I look forward to using these collective experiences as your new principal.

In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest accomplishment is my family. I am a
husband to an amazing and supportive wife, Lindsey Johnson, who is also an educator, and I am beyond lucky to be a father of two amazing children, Arya Jayne (6) and Jude (3). As a parent, I want what is best for my kids and I know that is what you want for yours as well. Please understand that I will work tirelessly to ensure that your children have the best possible experiences at Cornell Grade School.

This summer, I plan on working closely with Mr. Vincent to ensure a smooth transition. During this time, I will learn more about our school, community, and the unique needs of our students and staff. I am committed to embracing the positive traditions and practices that are already in place at Cornell Grade School while working to ensure success for the future.

***Mr. Vincent will still manage the financial aspects of the district and mentor Mr. Johnson as
he completes his superintendent endorsement.
