Cornell CCSD 426 Referendum

On January 9, 2025 the Cornell CCSD #426 Board of Education approved a resolution of the following proposition which will be submitted to the voters at the consolidated election held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Shall the limiting rate under the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law for Cornell Community Consolidated School District Number 426, Livingston County, Illinois, be increased by an additional amount equal to 0.27905% above the limiting rate for school purposes for levy year 2023 and be equal to 3.80545% of the equalized assessed value of the taxable property therein for levy year 2025?

What does this mean? In simple terms, the Board is asking the voters to return the limiting tax rate to where I was 3 years ago.
